Keyboard
Xbox controller (Xinput)
Classic gamepad device (DirectInput).

By following this guide, you will disable both the Classic controller (Directinput) and the Xbox controller (Xinput). This can be useful when you're encountering issues related to the controllers in games or applications.

How to disable all gamepads

In the Wootility navigate to "Settings" and click on 1. Keyboard settings

In this menu under Gamepad Mode select 2. No gamepad

That's it, all game controllers on your wooting keyboard are now disabled.

Troubleshoot - Restore/Reset the Wooting keyboard

Your Wooting keyboard stopped working and it's a paperweight. Don't worry, you didn't break it and it's very easy to restore. Just follow these steps:

Step 0: Save your current profiles and unplug the keyboard

Open the profile manager by clicking the bottom left square-shaped icon and [save your profiles].
Unplug your Wooting keyboard

Step 1: Enter keyboard restore mode

Plug in the Wooting keyboard in your PC while holding the following key combination:

On a Wooting One hold down the "Mode" and "Right arrow" keys.
On a Wooting Two hold down the "Mode" and "Numpad return" keys.

If you did it correctly all the RGB lights should be off and the Wooting keyboard will be listed as "Wooting Restore" under "Devices and Printers".

Step 1a: Verify Keyboard restore mode has been found

If you did it correctly all the RGB lights should be off (although you can only check that way if the keyboard was working properly previously). An alternative way of checking if you've successfully got the keyboard into restore mode is by looking for a "Wooting Restore" device.

Guide - How to create a wooting keyboard in your language

In case you’re looking for a Wooting keyboard in your language, this is the place to be.

Your problem: We don’t offer your language (Spanish, French, Belgian, etc.)

As much as we’d like to offer all the languages to cover everyone’s needs, we simply cannot do that due to the order quantity. What we can do is give you the necessary information so you can make your own Spanish, French or whatever language layout you need. Here’s what you need to know.

How do language layouts work?

Simply speaking, a language layout consists of the markings (legends) on the keycaps. A German ISO keyboard isn’t physically any different from a Spanish ISO keyboard, for example. Only the keycap markings are different. The language you type in is decided in your operating system (Windows, Linux, MacOS) and doesn’t depend on the keyboard at all.

What this basically means is that by swapping the keycaps, you can make your own language layout! Since we can’t offer keycaps in many different languages, you can source the keycaps on your own. This also means that you can simply ignore the keycaps.

If you can touch-type and know where every symbol is on your keyboard without looking, the keycaps won’t matter at all. You can just as well be typing on a German ISO keyboard while having French as your system language, and everything will be like you’re used to. Just the keycaps don’t match.

As shown in the video above it's easy to remove the Wootings stabilizers, there are 2 ping located in the back of the stabilizer, press against both of them and lift as shown in the video, the image below also shows the location of the 2 pins.

The basics

In the DKS view simply left-click a keyboard key where you would like to add a DKS binding. You can remove a DKS binding with a right-click.

The orange symbol represents the binding you are currently editing.
The white symbol represents all the DKS bindings that are active.

You can control what a DKS binding should do in a grid view on the bottom. The columns represent the state of a keystroke:
First column = when the key first actuates (1.5mm)
Second column = when the key is at it's lowest actuation point (3.6mm)
Third column = when the key goes back up (~3.6mm)
Fourth column = when the key is back at the highest actuation point (1.5mm)

The rows represent the actions you can bind to a DKS binding, you can add up to 4 different keybindings. Simply click an input field and press key which action it should be.

Pro tip: you can unbind a key by right-clicking in the input field.

Guide – Configuring XInput support for Linux

Background

On Linux devices it's recommended to use DirectInput (generic joystick) for analog input with Wooting keyboards, however with a few configurations, it's also possible to use Xinput (xbox controller) for analog input.

Linux does not officially support Xinput. There's a few drivers available such as "xpad" or "xboxdrv" to support these Xinput controllers but they don't support Wooting's native Xinput right out of the box. This guide helps setup the configuration so that the aforementioned drivers can be used for Xinput analog input.

There's two configuration scenarios:

The Xinput driver is automatically applied every time a Wooting keyboard is connected
The driver is applied manually by the user

For the first scenario, a service has to be added to handle the driver which is controlled by udev rules every time a Wooting keyboard is detected.
For the second scenario, other rules need to be added to grant a dedicated group access to the device and the driver. This will require the user to start it with a command and higher privileges.

Some Linux distributions already have "xboxdrv" installed, but if not you need to install that package first by running this command:
