Issue - My switch stem is stuck inside my keycap
There have been some cases of people pulling their keycaps sideways rather than upwards and because they are tight around the stem it may cause the stem to snap and be stuck inside.
It's no fun to have to throw away your flashy keycap, so hopefully we can help guide you on how to safely remove the stem from inside of your switch. You can read our guide on how to safely remove keycaps here.
The following is a quick method to remove the switch stem from the keycap. If it failed or you need further assistance, you can always reach out to us for replacement parts.
Find a small pin, screwdriver (very small) or thick paperclip. Make sure it's not a thin needle and see if you can fit it into the keycap and proceed to the next step.
Heat the pin point with a source of heat such as a lighter. Slide the pin into the stem slowly, you don't need to go all the way, and let it cool down for a while.
Pull the pin slowly so that the stem follows. If done successfully the stem will be stuck on the pin as shown below.
